Extrusion Machine Operator

Operate and maintain advanced extrusion machinery within a fast-paced polythene manufacturing environment. This role involves ensuring product quality, maximising efficiency and supporting continuous production processes whilst adhering to strict safety and performance standards. 12-hour rotating shifts
Days: 6:00am – 6:00pm
Nights: 6:00pm – 6:00am
Rotation: 4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate and monitor blown film extrusion lines to meet production requirements
Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and consistent product quality
Use touchscreen control systems to monitor output and make real-time adjustments
Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet internal standards and customer specifications
Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, output levels and any issues encountered
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve operational or mechanical issues efficiently
Handle raw materials safely and ensure correct storage and organisation within the production area
Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with Team Leaders and the Production Manager
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness across all work areas
Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and company policies
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the extrusion process
