The Role
We are seeking skilled and conscientious Blown Film Extrusion Operators to join our fast-paced and quality-driven production team. In this role, you will operate modern blown film extrusion lines (including 3- and 5-layer co-extrusion system) to manufacture a range of high-quality films.
This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will play a key role in ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate and monitor blown film extrusion lines to meet production requirements
Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and consistent product quality
Use touchscreen control systems to monitor output and make real-time adjustments
Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet internal standards and customer specifications
Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, output levels and any issues encountered
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve operational or mechanical issues efficiently
Handle raw materials safely and ensure correct storage and organisation within the production area
Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with Team Leaders and the Production Manager
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness across all work areas
Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and company policies
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the extrusion process
Requirements
Minimum of 1 years’ experience operating blown film extrusion machinery (essential)
Strong understanding of extrusion processes and quality control standards
Ability to set up and adjust machinery to meet production specification
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work a rotating continental shift pattern
